Laura

This pretty little flower seller is called Laura. She is made from Flumo, a strong and versatile medium, entirely suitable for doll making. It has a smooth texture which closely resembles porcelain while giving a realistic appearance to the doll. She has been poured, painted and dressed by me, but the original sculpture is by Doreen Sinnett. 

Every aspect of her creation has extreme attention to detail.  Her eyes are a brilliant blue and her lips a soft pink.  She is dressed in period attire and wears Swiss batiste pantaloons and a delicate lace trimmed petticoat.  The lace on her petticoat has been hand dyed.  Her soft cotton dress is in a lovely delicate floral print and is offset by her checkered patterned blouse. Ribbons and hand dyed lace have been used to trim her pretty little dress.  Her hair is a dark blond, parted in the center and styled in ringlets.  She is holding a handmade basket filled with geraniums and is seated on a three legged wooden stool.  The stool and basket are included with your purchase of this doll.

   

She is a perfectly scaled dollhouse miniature and would look wonderful sitting in the midst of a street scene, attempting to sell her wares.
