Mariette

Mariette is my 18th Century French beauty.  She is dressed as per the style of the era and extreme attention has been paid to detail.

Her pantaloons and underskirt are made from the softest cotton batiste trimmed with lace.  She wears panniers as was fashionable during the era to make the skirt flare out on the sides fashionably.

Mariette's feet are decorated with shoes made of silk which have been lavishly decorated with cording and contrasting fabric.

Her pink inner silk skirt has been decorated with French trim, bunka and a variety of coordinating laces.  Her outer skirt and the rest of her dress are in a rich wine shade of silk and have been decorated appropriately.  I have added a lot of detail to her stomacher.  It has been hand-painted and decorated with beads, half pearls and several different types of cording to bring out the boldness of the pattern.  Her lace trimmed wine colored sleeves complement and complete the outfit.

Her powdered wig is layered as per the fashion of the era with a multitude of curls and ringlets.

A chain and bead bracelet and necklace are her only jewelry and she carry's a lace fan trimmed with faux cloisonné enamel flowers and leaves.

Mariette is a 5 3/4 inch doll, but due to the added height of her wig, she stands at 6 1/2 inches.  Although she is a miniature 1/12th scale dollhouse doll, she would only suit and fit well into a lavishly decorated interior with high ceilings.  Of course, she would be an enviable edition to your doll collection.

She has been poured entirely in Flumo and the finest materials have been used in her creation.  She will be an heirloom to treasure for years to come.
