Nicholas
Nicholas has been poured, painted and dressed by me, but the original sculpture is by the doll artist, Doreen Sinnett.
Nicholas has been poured in Flumo which is a wonderful doll material and lends a beautiful translucent and satiny effect to the doll. His hands bend at the elbows and his legs at the knee, and as such the doll is fully pose-able.
Every aspect of his creation has extreme attention to detail. His eyes are a soft brown and every effort has been put into giving him a natural and realistic expression.
Nicholas wears an Italian wool suit in creams and browns over an ivory ruffled silk shirt. His waistcoat is a soft camel toned silk. His suit and waistcoat have been trimmed with gold buttons. His suit is styled as per the Victorian era and has been cut to emphasize his body structure. His shoes are a conservative black and made from leather. He carries a black leather satchel trimmed with cream borders.
His slightly longish hair gives him a rakish look and it has been cut and styled into layers and parted on the side.
Nicholas stands at slightly over 6 inches tall and is a perfectly scaled dollhouse miniature. His satchel is removable.
I think he would be perfectly at home in a gentleman's study or library. You could pose him sitting behind a grand desk pouring over some papers, or perhaps on his way out for a meeting, satchel in hand, reaching for his hat and coat which are on a rack.
Nicholas is for sale for $199 including shipping.
