Rowena

This raven haired ethereal beauty has been called Rowena.

She has been poured in Flumo, which is a wonderful doll material and lends a beautiful translucent and satiny effect to the doll. Rowena has been poured, painted and dressed by me, but the original sculpture is by the doll artist, Stacy Hofman. Her legs are sculpted by Dawn Adams.

Rowena has dark green eyes which have been framed with sweeping black eyelashes.  Her lips are natural and a soft blush accentuates her cheekbones.  Her costume is of the 1810's era.  She wears a softly draped ivory silk high-waist gown with a long pleated train. Silk trim has been sparing used on her bodice.  I have deliberately kept the colour and style of the gown simple , so I could decorate it lavishly with enamel effect flowers in a variety of styles.

Jewelry was uncommon during the era with floral embellishment being the more attractive option.  Rowena thus wears a thin necklace with an enamel flower pendant. Her shoes have been painted to match and her fingernails are a light peach, giving them a natural look.

Her hair is black and has been piled on top of her head and styled into curls.  A portion of it falls in waves about her shoulders. Enamel effect flowers have been used to embellish her hair.

She stands at about 6 inches and  is a perfectly scaled dollhouse miniature.  She would look wonderful in an outdoor setting, perhaps in a gazebo lavishly decorated with flowers. You could just add her to your doll collection, where she could stand out as a unique handcrafted piece.

I have included a picture of the floral embellishment on her gown so that you can see it's details.
