18th Century Pennsylvania Secretary miniature

Magic Miniatures

Regular price $420.00

This dollhouse miniature is a piece of miniature furniture inspired by a modified version of Lonnie Bird's Pennsylvania Secretary.

I decided to add carving to the doors to enhance the visual appeal. It's quite a handsome piece and has been faithfully re-created in walnut wood. It comprises an upper and lower section. Carved doors in the upper section open up into a series of shelves and cubby holes. The hinged lower section opens up into a writing desk and features eight tiny carved working drawers, tiny compartments and a small arched paneled door flanked by tiny fluted pillars. The bottom part of the desk has four large drawers. The secretary rests on ogee bracket feet. There are tons of detail elements like walnut wood moldings, curved compartment dividers and more. The piece is made out of walnut wood and finished with several thin layers of archival wax with lots of buffing between the layers.

Every piece I make is signed and dated by me. They are truly one of a kind. The piece took me over 200 hours to finish.
